What a huge system! Even here, we had a hard freeze followed by a day in which it barely crept over freezing, and three more days of this in store. We picked buckets and buckets of peppers, knowing they'd never survive. The winter greens and cilantro, though, looked as though they might actually survive. Well -- we'll see how they bear up under several days of this. In the meantime, we're cooking up a vast batch of pork and green pepper stew. Tomorrow, maybe, we'll do chiles rellenos.
